WHAT IS A CLEANSING BALM?
The name is a dead giveaway - a cleansing balm comes in a balm form. Similar to cleansing oils, cleansing balms use oils to break down and remove leftover skincare, sunscreen, makeup, excess oil, dirt, and sweat - what we like to refer to as ‘the day’.
Your cleanser should leave your skin feeling clean, soft, and hydrated, never tight or dry. An oil based formula such as GunkOff Cleansing Balm reduces the need for harsh scrubbing, tugging or rubbing. Harsh motions on the skin can irritate your skin barrier.
HOW TO USE A CLEANSING BALM
Using dry hands, apply a small scoop to dry skin. Gently massage all over your face, eyes, and neck for at least 30 seconds.
Emulsify with lukewarm water and remove with your hands or a damp cloth. Follow with your chosen water-based cleanser.
Spend the next 5 minutes ooh-ing and ahh-ing over your smooth, plump skin!
